So I have mentioned briefly on my Instagram posts but not really on here that Laide has CMPA. We suspected Laide had CMPA when she was about 6 weeks, by 8 weeks I had totally given up dairy to trial and see if it made a difference. Barely a week later we had already seen such a difference! CMPA signs *Be warned lots of poo mention!!* These are purely the signs that we saw with Laide. Each child is different so it is certainly worth researching other CMPA signs. I suspected she might have some sort of intolerance or allergy because she would only poo once or twice a day and it would be dark gr ..read more

I’ve been asked so many times already how I have found going from 1 to 2 children! In all honesty I’ve found it easier than I thought it would be. We have good days and we have bad days! But I find on the bad days it’s just finding a way to adapt and not to worry if everything doesn’t get done! Don’t get me wrong I am honestly pulling my hair out and at the end of my tether some days when Babs walks in from work though! When Laide was born Lola was nearly 2 years 4 months. Is this a good age gap!? In all honesty I don’t really know but I love it (most of the time)! Routine Anybody that knows ..read more

Well if you follow me on social media you will already know! I gave birth to baby number 2 just over 2 months ago! Laide Harper Sokeyo was born on 6th May 2018! Throughout my pregnancy with Laide I fought to be allowed a water birth. Something that I was denied at the very last minute with Lola. I mentioned it at every single midwife and consultant appointment. Little did I know I wouldn’t even get to the delivery suite let alone have a water birth! Labour On 6th May I was 40+4 and woke to some period pains at about 1am. I fell back asleep quickly but then woke again at 3am but this time I cou ..read more

Anybody that knows us will know that we follow no real routine with Lola. I know routine works for many families but it just hasn’t ever worked for us or Lola. There is one small routine that she does love to follow and that is the evenings, Bath, Book, Bed. She reminds us every night that after bath she needs her book and then it’s night nights. The BookTrust have a campaign Book, Bath, Bed to help establish an evening routine with your little ones as well as perfect bonding time with your child. Especially after discovering through their research that new parents were losing over 650 hours o ..read more
