This month’s Amazon round-up is a real hodge-podge of fun favorites. There were a lot of great fashion finds. Can you tell I’ve been on a mission to find cute tops? But also: hostess gift items (this has been something I’ve been focused on: finding creative little gifts to bring to a friend’s house (usually alongside a bottle of wine). As always, everything in this round-up is something I have personally bought and own. All of the clothes here are super cute. This top in particular is even better in person; I was really impressed by the quality. On the non-clothing front I am obsessed with th ..read more

Hello! We are up bright and early to go to Harbour Island. I have been looking forward to this trip for months and now it is finally here. I am really looking forward to sunshine and girl time. This week’s list is a good one. A fun feature on Pookie & Jett. The best airlines depending on how you fly. Two exciting movie trailers. An excellent reading list. I hope you enjoy it; have a wonderful weekend! I thought this rent/buy calculator was super interesting. (NY Times, gift link) This $78 free people “nightgown” is serving up major Doen vibes. I’d just wear it with a nude bra and half sli ..read more

Harbour Island Packing List.

On Saturday, I head to Harbour Island with 3 of my girlfriends. I can’t wait. I love a fun girls’ trip. The last time I was in Harbour Island was back in 2019. I went with Becca and Katie and we had the most fun. It’s such a beautiful, mellow, laid back place. I am packing mostly swimsuits and sandals… easy dresses and coverups… nothing too fancy. Two things I know: I am not packing a single pair of high heels and very little makeup. I’d prefer to be shoe-free as much as possible. I will likely live in my plastic birks; so comfy. On the beauty front, I have been loving this tinted spf. It has ..read more

Mother’s Day Tablescape + Bagel Bar.

I wanted to do something nice for my mom and my sister for Mother’s Day and decided to host brunch for my family. I had every intention of cooking something more elaborate. A strata… maybe overnight french toast… something more effortful. Over time it became pretty clear that everyone really just wanted good bagels, so that is what we did! One thing that has impressed me about Charleston over the past few years is all of the good bagel spots that have opened up. A few years ago, I remember ordering Ess-a-Bagel from New York via Goldbelly. No longer necessary. In case helpful: my first choice ..read more

Amazon Home, Vol. 2.

Last month, you might remember that Carly tracked down what I think are truly the best Amazon home finds I’d seen in ages. We decided to make this a monthly column of hers as she has such a knack for this. Today’s post is equally good, maybe even better. I love everything she found but this burl wood box is gorgeous and would tie in well with my coffee table. I ordered this marble tray on the spot; the details are exquisite. And of course, the green ottoman. Just wow. So fun. I really didi try to resist but found myself ordering it yesterday. From Carly: This month’s roundup is much more refl ..read more

Augustinus Bader Tinted Lip Balm Review.

Augustinus Bader released a collection of three tinted balms (in collaboration with Sofia Coppola) and I knew that I had to try them. I had been a fan of the original lip balm. It’s a velvety smooth lip balm that does a great job hydrating and plumping the lips. Ever the fan of no-makeup makeup, I also really liked the idea of a tint! I became more and more curious about the collaboration as a) I am a big Bader fan and b) I was curious about the collaboration between Professor Bader and Coppola. Apparently, the idea for collaboration was her idea. She was already a fan of the original lip bal ..read more

Happy weekend. I have a few fun things planned this weekend. A lunch with girlfriends today, hosting Mother’s Day brunch for my family tomorrow. Laying low, mostly. I go to Harbour Island in a week (!!) so the countdown is on. I’m really happy just hanging at home and relaxing. Whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s great! xx One of the best / most terrifying things I’ve read (a recommendation from my friend Becca) The State of the Culture 2024. This is an absolute must-read. The perfect everyday white top. The best and most outrageous moments from The Met Gala. (Time) This maximalist Long Island ..read more

Glitter Martinis.

glass is from Agustina Bottoni. Over the weekend, I made the most delicious, prettiest glitter martinis and had to share the recipe (and also, where to buy edible glitter!) here. As background, Tanqueray and Palm Royale (the show!) sent me a little cocktail kit. There was no obligation to post but the recipes sounded good (and it came with EDIBLE GLITTER!) so I made them for Mahjong last weekend. They were so delicious that of course I took a bunch of photos and had to share the recipe here. I will say that edible glitter and dried grapefruit wheels (both linked below) are now going to be main ..read more

Updated Denim.

I have talked about this at length but I’ve definitely spent the past few months refreshing my denim. So many of the styles I’ve loved (even my mom jeans) feel tired. I’ve ordered countless pairs of wide leg jeans and returned most of them. I’ve really tried with the barrel jeans but ultimately found the trend is (generally) not for me. And don’t even get me started on high-rise, non-stretch denim. That is just rude to your internal organs! Grace: I’ve had some success and we’ll talk about that today. To be totally honest, I think it’s just a lot of trial and error and seeing what works on yo ..read more

My Mahjong Setup.

I have been getting a lot of questions about my Mahjong setup so wanted to get up a quick post with links to everything. I keep my folding table and chairs in the corner of my porch and pull them out whenever we play. This time of year is absolutely perfect for porch Mahjong (that’s what we did this past weekend, it was heaven!) but the rest of the time I just set everything up in my dining room. You don’t need a folding table (I’ve played at friends’ dining tables a bunch!) but I find playing around a square table makes the setup feel like a true game night. As far as learning the game! Keep ..read more
