As an elopement photographer in NYC, I love tiny weddings. Small weddings in NYC are often restaurant weddings as they make a great venue for elopements with backrooms or areas that can act as a ceremony space and then the celebration meal is already built in! I’ve photographed tiny weddings at many different restaurant venues in the city, and this might be a new favorite location for small weddings in NYC! Ariel and Deepa decided to have their small wedding at Ci Siamo, a beautiful restaurant with a female chef (yeah!) way over on the west side that conveniently connects to the newest secti ..read more

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a family session on the blog, so I figured it was high time I get some NYC family photography up to share! While of course the majority of my work revolves around couples and weddings, I have been doing more and more family sessions as of late, and I really enjoy them! As a family photographer in NYC it’s really fun to show off this great city and see it through the eyes of the littlest residents. As a mom myself, I’m always happy to run around with kiddos and get lots of laughs for great family photos! Central park is one of the spots I always recommend for ..read more

As a wedding photographer in New York who often documents more offbeat, non-traditional weddings; I have the joy of witnessing all sorts of different celebrations. From big to small, colorful, glittery to rustic and everything in between. I LOVE finding unique wedding venues in NYC and especially love when I get to work with a couple as unique and wonderful as André and Jonny. This wedding at Baylander Steel Beach was an amazing celebration and I’m so glad I got to be part of it. From the first phone call with these two amazing humans, I knew this wedding was going to be something special. N ..read more

If you’re looking for a beautiful spot in NYC to get married with amazing light and no crowds, look no further then a sunrise elopement in Central Park. One of the many reasons I love elopements so much is there is a much greater chance for flexibility in time. You’re not having to worry about accommodating lots of guests so you can truly do whatever makes you the happiest. When couples ask me what time of day they should elope in New York, I often tell them how much I love sunrise. While some locations are much better for sunset if you’re considering lighting, Brooklyn Bridge Park is a prime ..read more

A Governors Island Collective Retreats Wedding in the Fall

I love finding out about cool unique wedding venues in NYC. When the couple contacted me about their wedding at Governors Island Collective Retreats, I was so excited! I’ve been wanting to photograph a wedding on Governors Island forever, and this seemed like such a great spot to do so. For those unaware, Governors Island is a tiny island in the harbor just south of Manhattan. It’s history involves a lot of military use, but was reestablished as public parkland in the early 2000’s. Currently it’s a fun escape from the city and only accessible via a quick ferry ride from either the southern tip ..read more

Summer Wedding at Van Cortlandt Park Lake House

What a beautiful summer day this was! I’ve photographed weddings all over the city, but this was my first time for a wedding at Van Cortlandt Park Lake House. For couples looking for perhaps a slightly more affordable wedding venue in NYC, a wedding at the Van Cortlandt Lake House may hit the spot. It had a more casual vibe, but was also super lovely overlooking the water in Van Cortlandt Park. You’re able to have a ceremony on the grounds and it made for a wonderful mostly outdoor venue in NYC. Wasn’t Katie’s bouquet gorgeous? I started the day with Katie and Alejandro in Fort Tryon Park i ..read more

A Fall Wedding at The Sanctuary on Roosevelt Island

I’m just getting started catching up on all the magic that was the wedding season 2023. First up is this spectacular wedding at one of the coolest new wedding venues in town, The Sanctuary on Roosevelt Island. As an Upper East Side resident, I often see Roosevelt Island across the water, and have taken the very fun tram multiple times (definitely an NYC thing to do if you’ve never been). Roosevelt Island, in case you’re unfamiliar, is a neat little island sitting right in the East River in between Manhattan and Queens. It’s a fairly quiet space and offers beautiful views of the midtown skylin ..read more

Should you Elope at Brooklyn City Hall instead of Manhattan City Hall? || Where to Get Married in NYC

I’ve had lots more couples as of late opting for a Brooklyn City Hall wedding rather than the Manhattan City Clerk’s office, so I figured I definitely needed to get a post up to outline a few more details about the process across the river. Is an elopement at Brooklyn City Hall for you? First off, did you know you can get married in the city clerk’s office in any borough? That’s right! Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, Queens and the Bronx each have their own marriage office. The most popular two choices are the Manhattan City Clerk’s office at 141 Worth Street and the Brooklyn City Clerk’s ..read more
