Hi friends. I haven’t been here for a while — more than a year now. I miss it. And also, I don’t miss it. To everything, turn, turn, turn. Reinvention & evolution through life’s chapters always get me. Every time. Fox & Friends viewers! Find our American crafts HERE. Find our Declaration Ceremony HERE. And: PragerUKids.com  I admit to being required to move a bit too fast for comfort since my last entry back in March 2021 — when I pretty much bullied y’all to “Go, It’s Time” on account of my ‘enough already’ stance regarding the relentless lockdowns in California (see my previous ..read more

For those of you who might live in parts of the U.S. outside of California… you might not understand this post. Know that I am sincerely envious of you…  For Californians who’ve been locked up, masked up, scared of breathing perfectly fine air if you happen to walk past someone on the street, IT’S TIME TO STOP. Or, should I instead say: GO. GO to the friends’ house. GO to the parents’ house. GO to the restaurant. GO to the kids’ carline without a mask on in your own vehicle. GO to the hotel with some of your favorite people — as long as everyone is healthy — whether or not you happen to l ..read more

Just breathe, my husband tells me (like, all the time now). Sometimes there isn’t time to breathe, I snap back between dishwasher loads and T-shirt folds. He’s right. I’m right. But when everyone is right… no one takes productive breaths. The last month has been a wild+wonderful blizzard for me here in sunny California. It’s been 30 days since I was unexpectedly delivered a most perfectly-incredible new full-time job that feels like it was custom-created a la divine intervention to include every single smidge of all my past career experiences, while working alongside smart, logical and likemin ..read more

Working full-time again? (Yup!)

As of January 19, 2021 (ha! I just noticed that date of 19, 20, 21… whoa) I now work for multimedia network PragerU — factual, faith-filled, free-and-brave (FAB). Yessssss! My new baby via 2020’s most unexpected & confusing metaphorical pregnancy. And just like my two daughters, this baby busted into my life in a most unexpected way too…. Late last summer, the PragerU team scouted me to do one of their famous 5-Minute Videos (we shot it in December and it will go live end of February — that’s where my new ‘free-and-brave’ acronym was born) and then a few short weeks later I was presented w ..read more

New! Year! Although also kind of the exact same for now (here in California, at least). But fear not: Many of us are wiser, stronger, more awake than ever… aside from being absolutely desperate for a stupidly-fancy craft cocktail and fabulous dinner inside any kind of a restaurant that might have draping crystal chandelier things and sexy candlelit tables. God bless the frivolities of the old days. Damn we had it all so good. But — despite the absence of draping crystal chandelier things and sexy candlelit tables — it would be rude of me to not acknowledge what 2020 personally gifted me as a m ..read more

Merry Christmas! And: Do real things. In-person. Chances are, if you’re under 65 and generally healthy, you won’t die. (That’s not me offering certified medical advice, that’s just a reasonable statement based on all data, stats, verified death reports and science we’ve learned since March. But my husband, a top-tier educated and internationally-recognized surgeon, says the same thing.) Do. Real. Things. In. Person. We have been — since June. JUNE. I’m not scared of judgement, I’m not scared of repercussions. I’m just a mom and former news-media professional who’s no longer willing to tolerate ..read more

“A woman is like a tea bag. You cannot tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.” -Former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt Remember when I started this blog-thing ten years ago as an experimental, new media venture to stay creative, productive and cheekily motivate my new mom life into being focused-, fun- and fierce after babies (notice, all the ‘FAB’)? In a matter of just over one year (2011-2012), I sharply-pivoted from a career of interviewing celebrities to talking about strollers and parenting on TV. Searching for books about birth and delivery (before my first baby) subsequentl ..read more
