This subreddit discusses about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet: a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Unlike traditional currencies such as dollars, bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. As such, it is more resistant to wild inflation and corrupt banks. With Bitcoin,

Here's the situation: I hold my Btc using Coldcard + Electrum. I'd like to transfer some sats (around 50$) to Muun wallet so I can get comfortable using Lightning network when paying for coffee or other small things from my iPhone.
What's the best way to do this? Is it by sending On-chain Btc on Electrum to Lightning on Muun? Any other methods?
Thanks

Large companies often split shares to lower share price (the amount owned remains the same).
there is a psychological barrier to large sums of money. We all understand that you can buy 5$ of bitcoin, but for the regular normie seeing 60-70k for "one bitcoin" seems unobtainable. I think ETFs helped in a sense by selling shares under 100$, but I one day hope bitcoin is advertised and bought as sats, which is far easier to mentally digest than the price of a new low end corvette just to have "one bitcoin".

If one thinks about it with elections around the corner, Bitcoin in the USA! could be a currency with ZERO TAX EXEMPTIONS. Could be.... Which in turn (hopefully) would keep Bitcoin/crypto taxation down overall. Give us a decade! Whats your hopes?

Long story short in 2018 I sent a decent amount of bitcoin in todays standard to a shady liquor store owner. He never received the bitcoin and I never got paid. I forgot about it. I looked into it today and the bitcoin is somehow still pending after 6 years I was using electron wallet 3.3.2 or something like that. Is there a way to either cancel and retrieve the funds or add more to the fee so it can finally be transferred thru? I’m gonna have to go back to that liquor store and see if the same people own it and if that guy has that same wallet available so it’s a long shot but I think it was ..read more
