Meet Mrs. Figs! Meet Mrs. Figs. Pregnant Mare Rescue is saving her life and that of her unborn foal. If it's a filly? Figgy pudding of course LOL Please donate to the link and share far and wide. This is a risk...stretch... for us...We JUST leased pasture to continue our work, and have some unforeseen costs..like mowing the grass, because we had some rain!! If we can raise the ransom and haul, were in good shape (meaning I sleep better at night!) Thanks LOVE my PMR community! And...We begin. This is an very important campaign for the organization. We rely on the generosity of our donors to keep us working and the doors open. We can't save lives without your help. By relying on a set budget we can better plan for our future expeditures. Donations are our only source of income. As we move forward, we are preparing to write grants, but compiling the database takes time. We f ..read more

Bit of a Snarky post arrived in my email this morning. Thought I would provide some information to enlighten those who needs some facts to understand how we work.   Yes, you can do a lot on 3 acres! If you’re counting we have saved over 450 lives plus foals to date.   We NEVER say no. If we can’t take a mare in, or bail a horse in need, we network them, share and ask for others to share.   When our coffers allow, we help pregnant mares in other states. Often times we never get to meet them or their foals. But we follow them and make sure they are safe and well loved.   We ..read more

Today PMR pauses to honor a woman taken from this earthly plain too soon. Alyssa Brown passed away, losing her battle with cancer. She was only 34 years old. Alyssa loved horses and we believe she is dancing with them now. We honor her memory, her love of the beloved sentient beings we know horses to be and feel that she will continue to share our vision of peace for them in the future.  God Bless Alyssa ..read more
