Sherrone Moore has been the Michigan head coach full time since February.  He has yet to land a new recruit as a National Champion.  That changed on Monday when 2025 IL 4 star DE Nate Marshall committed to the Wolverines.  Nate is 6'4 and 265 pounds and rated as the #1 SDE by Rivals.   He is in the top 100 for every service and the 24/7 composite has him as the #35 player in the country.  He is very close to a 5 star and could see a bump in the summer or during his senior year.  His offer list included all the regulars: Alabama, Miami, Colorado, Iowa, Illino ..read more

Michigan Monday: Spring Game Reaction

Does Michigan have a QB problem? Yes, I believe they do.  Orji is a tremendous athlete but his passing was mostly check downs and was clearly nervous early and missed some easy throws.   Michigan loves to run the ball and Orji fits that mode but with zero pass threat is going to cause a ton of 3 and outs.   Warren clearly has the best arm talent on the team.  He seems much more comfortable in the pocket and made some nice throws down the field.   He has been in the system for a long time but he always plays well in the Spring Game but not really in the r ..read more

Saturday marks the first time Sherrone Moore will lead the Michigan Wolverines out of the tunnel at the Big House as the full time Michigan Head Coach.   That is a little dramatic for the Spring Game but we are talking the National Champions here folks!  Damn, that is fun to write.   Time: 12:00 Location: Big House TV: FOX Admission is Free! Weather: Will be chilly in the low 40's or Football Weather   What should you expect:  Stars on the sideline - No need to risk injury.  The defense way ahead of the offense  Saying at least 5 times, "who the ..read more

Michigan Thursday: Lots of Info

This is mega news and notes today as there seems to be a lot of information in the wind about the Wolverines Football and Basketball programs.   Cristian Dixon hit the portal after the WR to CB didn't work out.  He was a 4-star WR that never worked out.  Michigan needs a WR in the portal for an offense that just lost a top NFL Draft pick (probably) and doesn't want money.  That is going to be hard to find. Good luck to Cristian at his next stop.  Michigan has offered a DT in the portal from Kent State who is from the same Illinois HS as JJ and Tyler Morris.&nbs ..read more

Wolverine Wednesday: Thanks NCAA, Now Get Lost

Jim Harbaugh bought a kid a cheeseburger during COVID 4 years ago.  He didn't recall that purchase when the NCAA asked him about it. The NCAA found a receipt for said cheeseburger and now we are here.  So 4 years after the cheeseburger crime, The NCAA has put Michigan Football program on a 3 year probation, given 5 coaches Level 2 Show Clause, some recruiting restrictions, and a fine.  Everyone agreed to these terms except Jim Harbaugh who is now in the NFL and could care less about NCAA and its cheeseburger rules.  By the way, nobody cares.  This was a blip in sports ..read more

Michigan Tuesday: Football Coaches and Staff Need an Uber Account
The Big House Blog

Warde needs to consider giving the Michigan coaches and staff another job benefit.  An Uber account that they can use anytime.  A few weeks ago, newly hired DL coach Greg Scruggs was arrested for driving under the influence then resigned.  Now Denard Robinson has also been arrested for the same thing and got into an accident.  I feel terrible for the Michigan legend and also mad at him.  It is so easy getting an Uber or a Lyft when your out drinking or entertaining.  He is a Michigan legend and probably doesn't have to buy many drinks when he is out.  Having ..read more

Wolverine Wednesday: Youssef to Bowling Green

Sports news is usually pretty slow mid-week.  That is why Mel Kiper's Mock Draft boards always show up on a Wednesday, so all the ESPN talking heads have something to discuss.   Today is no different.   The biggest Michigan news is former Wolverine Youssef Khayat has picked Bowling Green as his next destination.  He was rated the #406 overall player and 65th small forward in the portal.  Khayat played in 26 games in two years as a Wolverine averaged 1.4 points and 1.1 rebounds with an average o 6 minutes per game.   Speaking of Mel Kiper's mock dr ..read more

Michigan Basketball is trying to rebuild from a failed experiment with one of its former stars.  Now, I don't 100% blame Juwan for Michigan's failure on the hardwood.  Admissions and lack of NIL resources also needs to own some of the failure.   What did we see on the court last night from UConn?  A number of players that executed in the system and no superstars.  They have a 7 footer to protect the rim, they run strong offensive sets with motion/movement, and they defend.  They don't have a KD or Melo to handle the load of the work, they play as a team in t ..read more

Michigan Monday: Total Eclipse of The Program

Michigan is doing an overhaul of its biggest programs.  Football reached the summit and then lost a majority of its coaching staff.  Basketball lost a ton of games, lost its coaching staff and most of its players.   Both programs have new head coaches and basketball needs a complete rebuild.   Let's hope its not a "total eclipse of our hearts" ?? Michigan is now rumored to be landing FAU Center Vlad Goldin.  This would be a nice addition.  Vlad has been getting better year over year.  He still plays a bit stiff and needs to improve from the line bu ..read more

Michigan Friday: Should We Be Worried About The Offense?
The Big House Blog

I think we should.  The buzz out of Spring Ball is that the defense is dominating the offense.  That Michigan's defensive line and LB core are stifling the offense line and pressuring any QB that Michigan puts up there.   In the end, I think Michigan's offense line will be fine, not too many opponents will have 2 NFL 1st rounders on it.  Michigan is solid at TE and RB.  The issue is with the passing game, Orji is more of a runner then passer.  Davis I'm sure is talented but still young and inexperienced, Warren looked really good in a Spring Game a couple ye ..read more
