It would really make sense if I put together my weekly obsessions accordingly throughout the week, as I stubble across the things I feel would be cool to share. However, it is the same every Friday. I find myself making it sort of last minute. My excuse this week, is that not only is Mr. LA arriving tomorrow (so need to make the apartment nice and ready), but I finally got the notice about my last interview towards getting my green card. So, I had to get everything in order (forms needed to be signed and printed, doctor check-ups and new passport photos taken), but here it is, another of my ob ..read more

After three years of renovating the more than 100 year old and iconic post office building, Copenhagen finally got its new and very anticipated hotel. The 390-room five-star hotel has been eagerly awaited for good reason. The new hotel is part of hotelier Petter Stordalen’s Nordic Hotels & Results, but with its own name and identity. The ambition is to be more than just another luxury hotel for tourists, but a symbol and gathering point for Copenhagen and its people. From the second you walk into the grand covered lobby packed with modern Danish design furniture you know you are in f ..read more

Another week went by, I was happily attending the first couple of press events. I know it might seem odd to some, but Denmark very low numbers on new cases. It feels good with a bit of normality and to be around other people again, many I haven’t seen since January. In other good news, which you might saw yesterday on my IG, there is news in my green card process, I have been called in for the last interview, so fingers crossed. Okay, enough about me, it’s Saturday and time for another of my obsessions (a day later than normal, I know) to inspire you, now go enjoy my favorite spaces, products ..read more

A smaller heatwave has hit Denmark this week. Not that it is anything like temperatures in LA, but I am not complaining. The other day was also the longest day of the year, with daylight for 17h32m. I am really thinking of sleeping on the balcony this week. I am going to make the most of a summer in Denmark this year and feature a bunch of Danish homes and create inspiration for all of you who will visit with guides to Copenhagen. Today, we are heading to Fredericia, Denmark to visit Anne and her family of 5 in the massive 1929 villa. Anne is a true master of DIY, there is always at least one ..read more

I admit that I have really enjoyed this past week’s weather, maybe a bit too much. Morning bike trips for a daily dip in the ocean, the water is perfect now, a bit of work and maybe a bit too much time spent on the balcony and my new day bed. Honestly, I can’t help it, but if it wasn’t for corona, I would probably have been in LA right now. Oh well. Good news is, Mr. LA just bought tickets to spend 3 weeks in Copenhagen next month! Finally. It’s been 4 months since I saw him last. Okay, enough about me, it’s Friday and time for another of my obsessions to inspire you, now go enjoy my favorite ..read more

Sending you all some nice sunny weather from Copenhagen today. A heatwave hit us this week with temperatures hitting 25+ degrees (that’s in the high 70s for you Americans). This home is really something out of the ordinary, in fact it was built as a chapel in the late 1800s by Gustaf Wickman. A few years ago, Långbro chapel, as it is called, got a fantastic transformation thanks to the architect Andreas Martin-Löf and the current owner’s feeling, drive and good taste. Now, the chapel is a villa of 170 square meters of living space located in a lush little park. Obviously, the chapel’s huge ch ..read more

It finally feels a bit like we are moving toward a new normal daily routine here in Denmark. My inbox is again starting to fill up, I am out for meetings again and I have received the first invites to events. I also see friends around the world out and about again. It makes me less anxious about the future, corona wise of course. The last few weeks I’ve spent every free minute on educating myself further on matters of racism and white privilege, something I am clearly (and shamefully) not aware about, not enough at least. I have listened to podcasts, watched many movies and documentaries on Ne ..read more
