A week or two ago, I asked about the more experimental ACNA diocese that just set up shop in my part of the world. The church bills itself as actually a "network of microchurches," which was presumably carried over from before the couple administering the nonprofit that the church/es is/are a ministry of were ordained into ACNA a year ago, but the fact that they haven't taken it down suggests that they might really mean it.
I've looked up what microchurches are in general, and it seems like just a re-brand of the house-church/cell-church model, and like those, seems to fit best in the Baptist ..read more

Hello all! I come from a pretty pagan background and use of tarot cards was a pretty standard thing for me. I have since found Christ once again (thank God!), became a Christian and started reading the Old Testament. It mentions a bunch of prophets receiving word from God and also special casting of lots by certain people that were meant to give you an answer from God.
I try not to use any divination methods because for one I don't know if the answer I'm getting is from God or from a demon/false god and also I don't know if God would wish to answer to me at that specific time. That is, when I ..read more

I will be staying in Oxford over the summer for around six weeks, and I’m looking for a parish to attend while I’m there. It will be my first time in England, and I’m hoping to find a church community while I’m staying there.
Edit: Also, I’m looking for a church with an active young adult ministry or population. This isn’t absolutely necessary, but I think it would be nice!
Thanks all!

I went to an anglican church for the first time. I was blown away by the images on the walls showing the struggle of Jesus's crucifixion. While there I received a blessing from a preist for the first time it was surreal.

Deeply rural, ancient Horwood church shows loud traces of a medieval chantry chapel and an old effigy hiding bedesmen in her gown. Add to this some old bench ends, good stained glass and such a pretty place it is a mighty excellent church indeed.
My latest online church, article and gallery to read here: https://devonchurchland.co.uk/description/horwood-church-of-st-michael-description/

I'm going to an anglican church for the first time. For reference, I come from the Seventh-day Adventist (sda) denomination, but I'm thinking for becoming an anglican due to the rich traditions and beliefs that I agree with more than the sda. Soon I'm going to meet the priest also so do you guys have any questions I should ask him? And what are some things I should know about when it comes to the church and anglicanism?
