Hi! I was looking online for international communities/expat groups in Sakarya, but unfortunately I couldn't find any. I moved to Turkey 1,5 years ago and I'm looking for friends to hang out with in my area. Preferably other moms. I'm 26 about to turn 27 and my daughter is 4 months old. I speak German, English, Bosnian and Turkish(A2), but I'm currently taking classes to get better at turkish. I like to spend time outside at the Sapanca lake or sit in cafes in Kırkpınar and surrounding areas. If you live closeby and are interested DM me. Thank you ? submitted by /u/expatftm [visit reddit] [c ..read more

Hello! I’m really hoping that someone can help me here. I arrived in Colombia (from USA) on October 30th, 2023 and was given a 90-day stamp on my passport. I came back to United States January 24th, 2024 and returned to Colombia January 27th, 2024. I was granted another 90 day stamp when I came back to Medellin on January 27th, 2024. Given this information, how much longer can I stay without a visa? The main reason why I’m confused is because I read in multiple sources that Americans can stay 180 days in a calendar year. Does that mean I just need to file an extension up until the 180th day m ..read more

I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this. I have moved to Munich, Germany, in the last eight years. The move was based on a recommendation from my friends in Argentina. Therefore, I didn’t know anything about Germany other than what I had learned in school, on the internet, and from movies. Consequently, I would say that my knowledge was limited. Moving here for work opportunities or for study is really good, but to be honest, I can’t keep up with this sick, mentally ill, antisocial, rude, socially awkward, racist, robotic, conservative, cold, dark, low vibrational, narrow-min ..read more

Is there any country in Europe with a easily accessible and instant healthcare? We experienced suboptimal/bad healthcare in Scandinavia, as compared to our home country!

We live in Scandinavia since 2 years, and although we were told of the very good healthcare setup, we find it suboptimal. The reason being we have now witnessed many situations around us where the doctors just asked to take paracetamol for a normal fever, and weeks went by with the person getting worse, and finally they say things like "Ok, we think it's Pneumonia so please get him hospitalized", "Please call emergency to take your child for examination " etc. to such an extent that we know of a case where a person almost died because he was living alone, kept calling his GP and they didn't b ..read more

Hey question I’m moving to Saudi in a few months and we want to bring our cat. The instructions on the Saudi embassy website are confusing and no one answers the phone at the embassy in Washington. Has anyone brought their cat before? The website says we need to get our cats vet report authenticated by the US State department, but everyone one else says the us dept of agriculture needs to authenticate it, which is the standard process for every other country. Also, how do I get a permit from the Saudi ministry of agriculture? Any advice would be appreciated! submitted by /u/Original-Pick1020 ..read more
