In a world of fast fashion, ethics are regularly compromised. If you don't feel that fashion and ethics should be at odds with each other, then this could be the place for you.

Dear all,
When I joined this sub I really expected to see discussion about how to clothe yourself ethically.
While I understand that ethical brands are a step-up from fast fashion, ethical fashion, in my view, mostly means not producing any new raw materials.
I keep seeing posts about ethical brands and ethical dupes. This is still mainly about consuming new clothes and not about rethinking clothing.
In the far future, we might be needing to consume new (hopefully ethical) clothing, but for now, can't we focus on using the clothing we have? By clothing swaps, thrifting or upcycling?

Hey there,
I've been doing some serious self-reflection lately about my shopping habits, especially when it comes to fashion. It's a constant battle between wanting to stay updated with the latest trends I see on social media and being mindful about my consumption. Honestly, it feels like I'm stuck in this cycle of fashion consumerism, and I'm really trying to break free from it.
I know I'm not alone in this struggle, so I want to know, How do you manage to stick to your commitment of mindful consumption? What motivates you to resist the temptation of impulse buying and fast fashion trends?

We’re heading into winter at the moment so I’ve been searching for an ethical brand that does fitted long sleeve tops. Everything that I’ve found so far tends to be too boxy or not have stock of colder weather clothes.
Also hoping to find a brand based in Australia or New Zealand :)
Also bonus for any suggestions for good places to look for knitwear!

Ethical fashion subs everywhere are no stranger to posts complaining about how boring so much of the non-fast-fashion world is, and I do totally get it. But then all the recommendations that come in are always for brands that are making stuff that is suuuuper "loud" style wise—like bold colors and patterns and modern vibes and CHEETAHS AND LIGHTNING STRIKES!
The thing is I'm tired of seeing the same old boring sweaters and tees too, but bold modern primary color-filled look also isn't my personal taste. I'm wondering if anyone has any fave brands that strike a nice balance between the two? I ..read more

This brand came up in a few searches for ethical clothing, but there's very little on their website about their business practices etc. Does anyone have any experience with them? Thank you
