MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Concordia College in Moorhead announces it is starting work on a $2.8 million outdoor facilities revitalization project. The new track and turf project allows the college to host Cobber track meets, as well as, Oak Grove track and field events. Work is already underway inside the Jake Christiansen Stadium. GRAND FORKS CO., N.D. (KVRR) — A man fires a rifle as Grand Forks County Sheriff’s deputies respond to a call of a suicidal male on a farmstead southwest of Thompson. They called for backup from Regional SWAT Team, Regional UAS and negotiations teams and Grand Forks Police around 7:30 this morning. There is another big Lotto America winner in Minnesota. A $3.1 million winning ticket was sold at Cub Foods in Coon Rapids, a northern Minneapolis suburb, for the April 24 drawing. Just last month, a lucky Minnesota player claimed a $3.7 million Lotto America jackpot on a ticket he purchased at Cub Foods in Roseville, also in the Twin Cities, for the March 4 drawing. Jail in Fergus Falls again allowed to accept inmates after state sanctions

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO/KVRR) – The Minnesota Dept. of Corrections has reinstated Class III status to the Otter Tail County Jail in Fergus Falls. Sheriff Barry Fitzgibbons says he was notified of the reinstatement. It allows the jail to keep inmates longer than 72 hours. The department lowered the jail’s classification after a prisoner was deprived of food and water for more than two days for smearing feces in his cell. (KVRR-KFGO) – A transcript of the 911 call to Becker County emergency dispatch shows that the stepmother of state senator Nicole Mitchell armed herself with a small steak knife after reporting that someone had broken into her home early Monday morning.
