I love animals and I always have, after learning that zookeepers get paid dirt, my dream job became a zoologist. But recently i’ve become more and more motivated by money, and I’m really tempted to switch to a marketing or finance degree for next school year. I really want to be a zoologist, but I also want to have money, and I really can’t make up my mind; either be mostly happy with a job but not make a lot of money, or have a pretty eh job but make a good amount. I love animals, but again I really love money and being financially stable. any tips or advice are greatly appreciated

The "someone" is me...
I found a large burrow in a semi-urban forest that I suspect is a coyote den. I set up a trailcam on a nearby tree facing the entrance to catch photos of the pups.
However, it recently occurred to me that it could've been a mistake. The coyotes in my area are extremely camera shy (they are terrified of the red glow of the IR flash), and I would hate to cause them undue stress during the pupping season. On the other hand, they might get used to it once they get familiar with it's location.

If I had to guess, it would either be the coyote/jackal, the fox, african wild dogs, or select dog breeds, but is there agreement on there being a subspecies of canine whose niche is being "really fucking smart" or a species that stands out in intelligence?

What animal skull is this from? My guess is a fox or a small raccoon, but I’m not certain.

Most hunter-gatherer societies uh... hunt.
And yet we don't have prey drive. I didn't even know what prey drive is (and how strong it is) until I got a working line German Shepherd.
Why is that?
Does this pattern exist in any other animals who hunt?

My best guesses would be any of following species: - Pilot whale - Pygmy killer whale - Risso's dolphin
