Pipestone County Commissioner Meeting April 9, 2024 The Pipestone County Commissioners met with Chairman, Dallas Roskamp, Commissioners, Luke Johnson, Doug Nagel, Dan Wildermuth, and Chris Hollingsworth. This is an example of a birth tissue graft that can be collected from placentas and used to treat eye injuries. Pipestone County Medical Center started working with Dakota Lions Sight and Health in 2022 to collect birth tissue donations that are then processed and distributed by BioTissue. Pipestone County Commissioners recently accepted a bid for a gravel and tiling project on County State Aid Highway 17. The county also plans to apply dust control to the road after the project is complete. File photo Pipestone County Commissioners during their April 22 meeting approved a low bid of $452,142.81 from Wm. D. Scepaniak, Inc. for a gravel project on County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 17. Reese Anderson knows what it’s like to spend the summer at the fairgrounds. Between the Jackson County Fair and the Minnesota State Fair, over the past several years, the Jackson high school student has racked up a number of hours showing cattle. Last year at the Jackson County Fair, Anderson exhibited the champion 4-H breeding heifer. She placed fifth at the Minnesota State Fair’s 4-H beef show. Being involved with livestock in 4-H is a family tradition for Anderson, who said her siblings also showed and also enjoyed success at both the county fair and the state fair.
