Id really like some input because I don't know what to dom I've been full-timing since December- January and from last month, my batteries are just not charging to full voltage or charging extremely slow... Here's my setup
• 4 425watt solar panels (photo of back in post
• 2 12v 200AH litime lifepo4 batteries (wired in parallel)
• Sun Rock 80A MPPT charge controller.
These are high voltage solar panels with extremely low amperage. I understand that that would impact the charging rate, but the PV amperage is 1-3 in full sunlight. I'm in Florida right now. I don't understand why it would be gett ..read more

Decided to move into van and I have figured out my solar needs but wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything incorrectly before purchasing.
I only have 2 things in terms of electrical needs. 12v 60w@max fridge and a tablet PC that runs 30w@max for 16 hours of use and uses a 65w charger im planning on using a 12v 65w usb car charger to avoid using an inverter.
The calculations I used had me looking for a 250w solar panel 200ah 12v lipo battery and a 20a charge controller.
I need a little more help in understanding the consumption of my fridge. I know compressor fridges don't work at full til ..read more

It was absolutely jarring. It was also pretty early, around 11pm at a Safeway. It happened. I got the knock.
It was my first knock ever.
Im not sure if it's because my van is still bare metal or if he actually hit it that hard, but , it was the most aggressive knock i could've imagined ever getting.
I rush to the window , my dog is freaking out at this point obviously, and take off the covers, and that's when I see him . In the moment I assumed , because of the area, that it might be one of the local tweakers about to start something. It was the lot security guard.
He immediately stepped back ..read more

Hey guys, We’ve just bought a van to explore west Canada over the summer and I was wondering if anyone has an idea for finding somewhere to park up for a day or two to do minor work on the van interior? We think we will want to add some shelving etc, and possibly a roof vent - I’m trying to think of a way to do this without having to buy the tools! I’m sure I’m not the only person who would like to do this, so any help would be great!

Looking for any suggestions for good internet in my van. I looked at a lot of suggestions but they seem out of date. Seems like Tmobile will no longer let you have 5g home internet on the go like some people did. I know there is starlink, and some people suggested jetpack (but it's no longer offered). Any other suggestions that allow you to game and join zoom calls? Mobile hotspots? Thank you.

Hi everyone,
I'm in quite a predicament with my 2016 Ford Transit 350 and could really use your advice or any suggestions you might have.
Here’s the situation: Im locked out! My transit has been on my drive for a month or so and in that time, I think someone has tried to force the lock as when I came to unlock it the locking cylinder just spins without disengaging the lock. Unfortunately I don't have a working electric key for the van and have been relying on the mechanical key.
To make matters worse, an auto locksmith tried to help by wedging the door open slightly with an airbag and attempt ..read more
