My van is fully modified, expedition-ready, post-apocalyptic camper van. It all started on 20/April/2015 when I purchased it. My van was a factory 1998 Mitsubishi Delica Starwagon. From the beginning, I tore out the rear seats to present day as I am enjoying it using it for 4WD camping under the sun and in the snow. I playfully refer to this van as zombie apocalypse 4WD expedition survival..

So I decided to brave the horrific Sydney Easter weekend traffic to get away. Rather than leave Thursday after work with 1.5 million people stuck in gridlock traffic, I decided to wait to the next morning to head out.

Day 2 - after a long day yesterday of waiting to leave, shopping and a ferry ride, we got a good nights sleep in the van last night. Surprisingly even though it was quite chilly last night, the the van is so incredibly warm. With three of my windows having permanent 2 layer thick thermal pocket curtains on them, and with all of them having insulated solar screens on them, it was so incredibly warm in the van last night. Day 2 - Ok so we needed a good night sleep after the busy, lets-hurry-up, pack, get groceries, get to the ferry in time and then wonder we were going to sleep (park up) after arriving at 9pm in Picton.
