Fuel prices for July have been announced which will see a rise in the cost of a litre of petrol and diesel for the fifth month in a row. The new prices will take Super 98 up to Dhs 2.47 per litre from Dhs 2.38 per litre in June, Special 95 will cost Dhs 2.35, up from Dhs 2.27 last month and diesel will also cost more at Dhs 2.42, up from June’s price of Dhs 2.30 per litre. The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) informed the public that with the spike in COVID-19 cases, unvaccinated individuals are more susceptible to the virus. Currently, 71% of the total population in the UAE has been vaccinated with 91.8% of the eligible groups vaccinated. The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has announced that the EDE COVID-19 scanners roll out will be expanded and placed at various additional locations. The decision to expand the number of EDE scanners has come as a result of the successful pilot phase.
