The Ministry of Health and Prevention along with the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and Dubai Health Authority has announced the results from using Sotrovimab, the anti-viral treatment for COVID-19. The medication was used to treat adults, pregnant women and children aged 12 and above that showed severe symptoms as well as meet other criteria for administration. Fuel prices for July have been announced which will see a rise in the cost of a litre of petrol and diesel for the fifth month in a row. The new prices will take Super 98 up to Dhs 2.47 per litre from Dhs 2.38 per litre in June, Special 95 will cost Dhs 2.35, up from Dhs 2.27 last month and diesel will also cost more at Dhs 2.42, up from June’s price of Dhs 2.30 per litre. The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) informed the public that with the spike in COVID-19 cases, unvaccinated individuals are more susceptible to the virus. Currently, 71% of the total population in the UAE has been vaccinated with 91.8% of the eligible groups vaccinated.
