Keaweather
by Sai Krishna

Active Monsoon conditions over the core monsoon regions has resulted in the lack of proper thunderstorms over parts Tamilnadu. This trend is likely to continue over the next few days. This phenomenon is due to fast paced dry westerlies in the atmosphere from the Arabian Sea which reach speeds upto 50-60kmph at the respective heights. These westerlies prevent storms from towering resulting in a subdued phase. It also prevents the Sea breeze from entering the land resulting in hot temperatures even after dusk. TN thunderstorms are likely to return post 20th June. Until then warm and hot weather ..read more
