I LOVE Vermont. It’s green and people have many bumper stickers (the good ones). Everywhere in VT feels like Scandinavia meets the USA, both through the culture and the way people behave. It’s so relaxing to visit a place where most locals seem to embrace open-mindedness and sustainable lifestyles. Plus the beer is the best in the country. There’s so much to do in Vermont and not enough space to talk about it all in one article, but here are our favorite things to do that we covered in two long weekends.

And then, in March 2018, we finished our first big tour of the US. We settled again. In the Hudson Valley, in New York. Before starting my job again, I had a 10-day window. We found a house earlier than we thought… We had never seen the Niagara Falls… we always wanted to try dog sledding… so we just drove straight to Ontario during the winter!

When we left New Orleans, we started driving towards the Hudson Valley (New York) following Interstate 81. One night, our car suddenly stopped working in the middle of the interstate!
When we locked the keys inside the car
We drove over a few states, including Alabama, and stopped for a night in the nice city of Chattanooga before entering i-81. That night, we slept outside of Chattanooga, near an overlook, in what looked like a somewhat legal camping spot.
