Another month, another random list of random things I enjoyed this month, accompanied by random pictures. Non-Slip Velvet Hangers. This one makes me feel like an old lady, but honestly these hangers are amazing. I got them specifically for our coat closet because our other ones kept breaking. I ended up using them for my closet too and it’s so nice to have matching hangers. I told you, old lady territory here. 2. Ronia the Robber’s Daughter I don’t know where I saw this book recommended, but I’m so glad I did! It’s by Astrid Lindgren (Pippi Longstockings) and Ronia is another awesome, cle ..read more

Clearly, I am not cut out to be a blogger. I admire those who can keep up with posting regularly, but I am not one of those people. However, I recently read someone’s “top ten” post and loved reading about random things they enjoyed, I think I’ll try to do the same, sharing 10 random things I enjoy each month. The ferry ride was a fun way to kick off the trip and it felt like we were really on our way when we got off in Port Townsend. The drive al ..read more

For years, I’ve driven past this little farm at least once a week, never really noticing it or looking to closely. Last year someone posted a picture of a beautiful field of peonies and I realized it was that little farm! The very next day, we stopped by to wander through the fields and purchase a bouquet. It was almost the end of the season and we were excited to go the next year when everything was blooming. We loved seeing all the bees busy at work, some of the blooms had 10 or more bees on one flower! That day was last ..read more

Birth Story: Imogene
Our Tiny Home Dream
by Sara Miedema

I shared recently about the scary start of my pregnancy with Imogene, bleeding and threat of loss. I was terrified for weeks. We didn’t tell a lot of people until I was around 20 weeks along, when I finally felt like I could breath a little easier. Aside from the bleeding early on, my pregnancy was wonderfully boring. Until around 30 weeks when some bloodwork revealed that I was extremely anemic. My midwife let me know that I couldn’t legally deliver at the birth center, as was our plan, with such low levels. We all felt c ..read more
