I want to get mirrors and paintings for mine and my bf's future apartment. Problem is, screws aren't all that renter friendly unless we have plaster and paint handy, which we don't lol. It's a big ask, but I was wondering if heavy lifting command hooks that WON'T strip off paint exists? I don't want to use suction ones because if they get dirty once they don't stay up.
TIA!

Any suggestions on cheap but great(decent) quality furniture? I’m on FB Marketplace very often but any specific Amazon finds, etc? I do have a couch already but work from home so a desk rec would be great! Bed frames too:) Amazon is tough because reviews are so all over the place, hard to tell if it’s great or sucks so would love personal recs. TIA

I'm looking to update our home by adding wallpaper and wainscoting. I'd love recommendations for removable wallpaper.

Hi everyone, I'm moving into an apartment next week and I'm struggling to know how to set up my living room. I have a large east facing window that will get sun for a large part of the day.
Is it better to put my TV in front of the window and get curtains to block the sun or should I put my TV on the west wall, if so how do I handle any glare?
North wall is not a choice because that's where the floor heat is and there is no south wall as it is open to the dining room.
TIA

Hi guys.
To save money we chose two different floors (I know) in our apartment. Now unfortnately they dont match at all and we would like to do the reminder of the apartment with our first choice, so that its all the same.
Issue:
Our main floor is done with 4mm thick + 1mm underlay vinyl floor.
The to be removed floor is 7mm thick + 3mm underlay.
Meaning:
If we would just insert our main floor in the overrooms, we have 5mm to fill.
Now I am wondering if you guys have an idea, how we could compensate for those 5mm to not run into any comfort issue. Has anyone have any experience or knows a ..read more

My apartment has blue glass to prevent people from seeing inside the apartment (and reduce heat), however it gives an awful blue tone to everything in the room. My landlord won’t change out the glass/windows.

I was in the room of one and I didn’t realize all of these years until now how fucking terrible the floor is
It’s discolored in certain places, the texture is rough, but worst of all all sorts of fabrics (if you sat on the floor for example or walked with socks) Get their threads caught on the floor, and there are random hairs trapped between splinters in the floor
Is that what a low quality floor is? What are bedroom floors supposed to be made of?

I don’t want to get a couch, chairs, high dining table or box spring for bed but also don’t want my place to look tacky and cheap. I’d like a zen feel like dining on the floor at traditional Japanese homes. What decor, rugs, small low profile dining table, and floor mattress should I be getting?
