On April 24, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. President & CEO Clyde Higgs announced another historic moment for the BeltLine. Southside Trail — Segments 2 and 3, which were originally set to be completed in June 2026, have been fast-tracked for construction and will be open within the first three months of 2026.  Southside Trail — Segments 2 and 3 will begin at Pittsburgh Yards® and run for 1.9 miles to Boulevard, where they will meet with Southside Trail — Segments 4 and 5 (set to open in summer 2025). Supplemental Weekend Trash Pickup on the Eastside Trail

A new initiative has recently begun on the Eastside Trail of the Atlanta BeltLine, aiming to maintain its beauty and cleanliness for all to enjoy. In cooperation with the City of Atlanta Parks Department, Atlanta BeltLine is partnering with Executive Realty Solutions, Inc. (ERS) to conduct supplemental trash pickup on weekend evenings. The enhanced service is made possible by a millage rate increase for park improvements passed by the City in 2023. Resurgens Requiem: Creative Placemaking in Krog Street Tunnel

Renowned for its colorful street art, murals, tags, and stickers, Krog Street Tunnel is legendary as a hub for visual artistic expression in Atlanta. For one afternoon, however, it took on a special new role. It became a gritty, yet vibrant backdrop, and its unique acoustics served as an accompanying instrument for a spectacular acapella musical showcase by the Spelman College Glee Club.
