This is my 20 foot geodesic bio dome we built from supplies you can find locally. I just thought it was cool during the eclipse a week ago and wanted to share with you all. The lighting outside was alot like the dome inside during mid-day when a storm is coming due to the wrap we used on the structure. This was our first spring in the greenhouse and it has exceeded our expectations! We grew seedlings and succeeded! We have green beans, purple beans, zucchini, spaghetti squash, tomatoes, marigolds, onions, dill, peppers, rutabaga, eggplant, lettuce and beets all planted out. My new 10x10 Amish built greenhouse arrived today. I'm in zone 5b/6a and want to extend my growing season (I have a decent size. organic garden for vegetables and herbs) and possibly overwinter some house plants. Looking into a greenhouse kit this season. A friend of mine recently purchased a Shelterlogic 8x6 green house. Does anyone have any experience with this in high wind areas? In my area I often deal with 30-40km/hr sustained winds and gusts upwards of 60-70km/hr in my backyard. I was dead set on the Outsunny brand but it has terrible reviews for panels blowing off etc. (I have chain linked fence and a back onto farm field so blocking the wind isn't really an option.)
