Over the past three years, more than 200,000 people have participated in our Midwest EVOLVE project, which stands for Electric Vehicle Opportunities: Learning, eVents, Experience. The project and its partners have held or participated in nearly 300 events across the Midwest.
We’ve had a lot of fun along the way, and more than 7,400 people have taken a test drive of plug-in electric vehicles at Midwest EVOLVE events. Twenty percent of consumers who attend an EVOLVE event purchase a plug-in electric or hybrid-electric vehicle within six months.

Fresh Energy, an independent nonprofit organization working to speed the transition to a clean energy economy, is working toward a future where Minnesotans are driving electric cars powered by clean, renewable electricity, not oil and gas. Consumers, and the host of stakeholder organizations that use or provide transportation services, w ..read more

SAINT PAUL, Minn., Sept. 25, 2019 – Governor Tim Walz today directed the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to implement clean car standards—reducing carbon emissions and increasing the choices Minnesotans have when it comes to purchasing electric cars.
