Santai Muay Thai Gym was given the opportunity to interview an anonymous group of Bangkok Stadium Judges and Referees. 1. In your opinion, what is the main difference between Bangkok Stadium fighting and International fighting? A little different, in Thailand the fighters fight after the order of the corner, trainer and gambling involved often underestimating the importance if the early rounds (they are wrong).  International fighting, fighters have other goals, no gambling involved so the fight starts right away with not much thoughts on winning what round or saving energy for the later ..read more

“Poye W. Santai, The Kicking King” A couple of weeks back an Instagram page named ‘Muay Thai Gram’ proposed a kicking contest. The contest consisted of who could accumulate the most kicks on the pads in 30 seconds. Many powerhouses in the sport of Muay Thai were quick to submit there kicking challenge videos, including the Petchyindee boys! Petchmorakot Petchyindee who has wins over household Muay Thai stars like Petchboonchu FA Group, Petchpanomarung Kiatmookao and Yodpanamorung Jitmuangnon. On Tuesday February 25th, 2563 Palangboon (Chuy) W. Santai fought at Lumpinee Stadium. He took on Daopasuk Sitmonchai, from the famous Sitmonchai gym in Kanchanaburi. The fight starts with both fighters calm an poised, Daopasuk comes forward with an attempted short bursting punch combination, but Palangboon the young fighter from W. Santai Gym draws first strike with two sharp leg kicks. Santai Muay Thai Gym host a yearly festival at the Wot Santai Temple which is situated just opposite the gym. The festival includes Muay Thai fights, Live Music, Dancing arena and plenty of food stalls. This year we had a total of 7 fights, which consisted of 5 Santai Muay Thai Fighters! Fight results from Palangboon v Phetsuwan Boomdekchian at Rajadamnern Stadium, Bangkok. The fight was scheduled between the pair for the 10th October 2019, with Phetsuwan having a 3Ib advantage over Palangboon. Both checked weight and came in as planned Phetsuwan at 125 Ib and Palangboon at 122 Ib. Phetsuwan was given the weight advantage due to being less experienced than Palangboon.
