Romans 12:1-2 [1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which  is your reasonable service. [2] And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. The previous chapter of Romans makes it clear that God has not forsaken His promises to Israel. Their state of unbelief will one day be shed, and a remnant who survive the Tribulation will finally be saved, when they all recognize Jesus as ..read more

‭‭Luke 4:13-14 [13] Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time. [14] Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. My friends, here is a fact that we must never forget. The devils may flee for a time, but know that they flee only to wait for an opportune time to return to do battle. As long as we are here on earth, our enemies will continue to launch their spiritual attacks against us. The Bible is clear that all of us who are born again believers have not only been adopt ..read more

‭Acts 16:37-38 [37] But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out.” [38] And the officers told these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans.      Have you ever asked yourself, "Why did this happen?" "Why did this happen to me, or my family member or friend?" "Why did God allow this?" I'm sure many of us have asked one or all of these questions at some point in our lives. The verses above c ..read more

II Timothy 2:1-4 [1] You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. [2] And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. [3] You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. [4] No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. Jesus gave us the command to go out and make disciples. That requires that we go out and share the Good News of what He did for us. However, He also warned us tha ..read more

‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭John 21:1-6 [1] After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself:  [2] Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. [3] Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. [4] But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus ..read more

‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Leviticus 22:31-33 [31] “Therefore you shall keep My commandments, and perform them: I am the Lord. [32] You shall not profane My holy Name, but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel. I am the Lord who sanctifies you, [33] who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord.”  These verses were a wonderful reminder, today, that the Words God spoke to His people Israel are just as applicable to us. How do we show and prove our love for Jesus? Jesus told us that if we love Him, we will keep His commandments. He is Lord. As followers of Jesus we sho ..read more

‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Philippians 1:3-7 [3] I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, [4] always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, [5] for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, [6] being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; [7] just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. Today's verses should cause us to ask ours ..read more

‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭I Corinthians 2:1-5 [1] And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. [2] For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. [3] I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. [4] And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, [5] that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. We who preach and teach the Word of God would do well to follow the exam ..read more

Mark 1:35 [35] Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. As you read this, I ask you, "Have you taken time out, today, to have some quality time getting to know God? Have you put all else aside and focused on drawing near to the Lord in prayer and the study of His Word?" If not, why not? It amazes me that we read that Jesus, God Himself, took the first part of the day to be alone, away from everyone and everything, to talk to His Father; yet, we can come up with one hundred excuses as to why we can't find ..read more

Colossians 4:5-6 [5] Walk in wisdom toward those who  are outside, redeeming the time. [6] Let your speech always be  with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. As I read these verses, I had to stop and seriously consider whether the words I speak each day honor God or cause others to raise an eyebrow; especially if they know or find out that I am a born again follower of Jesus. Hebrews 13 reminds us that we are to offer up the sacrifice of praise, and the fruit of our lips, which is thanksgiving. In the previous verses of this chapter in Col ..read more
