What are your thoughts on smoker events ? So, back when I was fighting in early 2000's and into 2010's, we would have smokers in the gym quite a bit with members from our gym and sometimes other gyms would come in and spar with us. We didn't have a sanctioning body or anything. Just set up the event, people came to compete, people came to watch and it was a great show. No issues.
Today I'm being told by BC Athletic Commission that if I host a Smoker without it being sanctioned, it could be looked at as a crime ?!? They said it would be looked at as a "Prize Fight" event.... I came back and sa ..read more

5 year anniversary of the biggest domestic rivalry in Scottish Muay Thai history. Craig Dickson dominated Chris Shaw and took the W by KO.
This fight was years in the making, with few people giving Craig a chance. The pair had fought before in a tournament with Shaw winning by a controversial decision win.
Needless to say this fight was a clear cut win for Craig. One of the best atmospheres I’ve ever experienced live at a Muay Thai fight.

Looking over other videos such as superbons strength and conditioning, and Buakaw's
https://youtu.be/jwEmspOT460?si=rU3K_zcFJ9ikgIkL
Noticed that they do a really odd number of sets? For example Buakaw does one set of every exercise except for his stomach and squats where he does 2, and superbon does the same gauntlet style workout where he does a bunch of exercises all with 1 set each, and not to failure
Is this beneficial in any way? Is this because they do it daily? But if so, hoe can they have such large frames with that amount of work?
Tried researching this, not a lot of info out there ..read more

Hello !
A while back, I introduced the concept for our documentary, "The Champion's Quest," which follows the journey of Alexandre Bonnet, a martial artist from Occitanie, France. What makes Alexandre's story unique is not just his training but his professional fights in Muay Thai amidst managing severe hyperactivity. Today, I’m thrilled to share that our crowdfunding campaign is live!
Why this documentary? This film is not just about martial arts; it's about the relentless pursuit of excellence in the face of personal challenges. Directed by Noah Riley, we aim to produce a documentary that ..read more
