What is a Prepared Learning Environment? In my posts I often use the Montessori term “prepared environment”. Today, I want to provide insight into what this means. Eight o’clock in the morning. I promised myself a cup of coffee in solitude. I’ve committed to carving out a few minutes of alone time for a while now, but today it was “for real”.  As my three little angels peacefully ate breakfast in the kitchen, I was reflecting on my homeschooling life in our living room. Most of us get excited about the onset of fall and the coming winter holidays that are just around the corner. In our home we began fall decorations, celebrating  autumn birthdays of our family members and friends, and taking a pause before the arrival of Christmas. One of my favorite quotes from Maria Montessori is "follow your child". These three words have helped me so much in my parenting journey. But one may ask, "How can I follow my child?
