I know the question sounds obvious but I'm still new to credit cards, I use navy federal and I started with their starter credit card nRewards and its been a few months of me using that one with a 250 dollar limit and only using 30% and always paying it off and now I have a 725 credit score so my bank upgraded me the CashRewards credit card and it has a 2000 dollar limit which is a lot more in my hands. Would using this unsecured card be the same concept of spending a certain percentage and paying it off with my debit card? I see some people also say that a credit card should be the only card ..read more

Paying doctor bills then reimbursing?

I have been going to physical therapy every week and have been having the in-network provider bill my insurance directly and then I just pay the copays. I think that I have the option of paying the full amount myself and then submitting the claim to my insurance to have them reimburse me directly in the form of a check - this would be great for collecting new SUBs on cards as well as getting some rewards in the form of points. My question is there any downside to doing this (assuming I have the cash to pay off my bill almost immediately)? Would there be any potential difference in reimburseme ..read more

I applied to for the chase cash ink business credit card on April 26th in a branch because I have an ITIN. I noticed I used my primary email for my chase accounts vs the one I used for the LLC I registered. Will this affect me at all? I got an email on Saturday April 27th verifying my, ITIN, W9, and IDs. Sent that over and received an email saying "We appreciate you sending the documents we requested. We will review as soon as possible and will respond by mail within 1 to 2 weeks." I called today Monday April 29th and was told they would give me a decision in 7-10 days. Am I okay or would the ..read more

Travel card recommendations for novice credit user?

As the title says, I am still maybe relatively a beginner in my credit card journey, but (and tell me if I'm wrong) I think my score and length of credit history makes me at least little more experience than some at this point. I just can't seem to get any substantial CLIs on any of my current cards. I'm looking to start getting rewards on gas and using these rewards towards travel. Current cards: (list cards, limits, opening date) Capital One SavorOne, $3,000 limit, April 2023 Capital One Quicksilver, $300 limit, August 2022 Wells Fargo Active Cash (authorized user), limit unknown, joined ..read more

I'm very new to the travel credit card game, and I am debating on what card to apply for next. I won't be applying for a few months, but I'm trying to plan ahead! I only travel 2-5 times a year, but having a free flight/hotel would be nice for some of those trips. I currently have the Chase Freedom Unlimited as my everyday spender, as it's the only card I have right now. I've hit the welcome bonus on this as well. (I currently hit around 2-3k points a month with this card). I am a fan of the chase hotels (Hyatt), however when I fly, I tend to fly with Delta only. Delta is Amex, Chase is Hyatt ..read more
