Nearly 50 games in and I think we know where we stand as a baseball team. Hagen Smith is the closest thing to a sure thing I've seen in a long time. We have capable 2 and 3 starters who van grind through some innings if they can avoid walks and hit batsmen. The bullpen is good but top level hitters are capable of hanging some crooked numbers on them. The offense is luke warm and has to take advantage of all opportunities to generate enough to win a game started by anyone not named hagen. The next 2 weekend series are pivotal. We don’t have the depth we need to be successful up front. We keep missing on our targets too: Decarius Hawthorne (FAU) chose USF. Tawfiq Thomas (Louisville) chose Colorado.
