GBTC, ETHE, ETCG, and GDLC Trade at Small Premiums LTCN and BCHG at Absurd

As of Jan 12 2021, GBTC, ETHE, ETCG, and GDLC have come down to reasonable premiums and LTCN and BCHG still have absurdly high premiums. To understand why you have to understand some complexities about Grayscale products and who can invest and how they trade on market (especially when they are new). But long story short, if you are an average buy-and-hold investor or a newbie to crypto, stay away from LTCN and BCHG until they sort themselves out and their premiums come down if you are going to be buying open market. If you really NEED LTC and BCH exposure, look to GDLC or actual crypto or Robi ..read more

The Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund (GDLCF) is a trust you can buy shares of that contains BTC, ETH, XRP, BCH, and LTC. Essentially, this is the mixed-asset version of other offerings from Grayscale including GBTC, ETCG, and ETHE. As of 9/30/2019, the trust is weighted toward BTC in the ratio shown below (although this is subject to change over time): GDLCF Bitcoin (BTC) 80.3% Ethereum (ETH) 9.9% XRP 5.8% Bitcoin Cash (BCH) 2.2% Litecoin (LTC) 1.8% With the above covered, there are really only a few key points to mention here: GDLCF is likely to often trade above cost, historically ..read more

LTC Halving is a 3 Days Away (This is Like a Test for BTC Halving)
Crypto Currency Facts | Litecoin

The Litecoin (LTC) halving is 3 days away. In many ways this can be seen as a test of what might with BTC halving. So far what we have seen in terms of price is the market rally for months up until about month ahead of the halving, and then remain strong (after a correction) into the halving. How will the cut in the issuance rate impact mining and how will that impact price? That has yet to be seen. If it is anything like last time the most exciting price action happens going into the halving and not directly after. However, we don’t have many instances to watch, so this one and what happens c ..read more

The LTC Havlvening is Nearly Here The LTC halvening (the date on which the block reward for miners is cut in half) is less than two months away. You can see a LTC halvening countdown here. During the last halvening the price of LTC ran up a good bit against, but corrected before the actual halvening (as you can see in the header image). This time we are again seeing a run up. No one knows how far LTC can go or how much it will correct after (if at all), but it is good to remember history a bit to understand what is happening now. Also keep in mind that what happens with LTC could forshadow BTC ..read more

BTC Breaks Resistance and Runs Hard
Crypto Currency Facts | Litecoin

The Bulls Are Back in Town (for Now at Least)! BTC broke $4.2k resistance and then ran hard up to $5k as shorts closed, stop buys hit, and people jumped in. Alts lagged behind, but in all the market had a nice rally. Some might look at this and say “this looks like manipulation.” However, I would argue it is more technical. BTC had been trapped below $4.2k resistance for a while, and it had also been trapped below some EMA resistance. As hopefully you can see on the chart, the trend started to reverse at the end of Feb (the first green arrow), then was setting up to try to break the next leg o ..read more
