Hi homebrewers, I've made a berliner weisse from this kit(https://mangrovejacks.com/collections/craft-series-brewery-pouch/products/raspberry-berliner-weisse-limited-edition), I left it for 2 additional weeks in the fermentor due to busy schedule, today when I wanted to bottle it I'm seeing this https://imgur.com/BRocUW7 , is it infected? Welcome to the Daily Q&A! Are you a new Brewer? Please check out one of the following articles before posting your question: How do I check my gravity? I don't see any bubbles in the airlock OR the bubbling in the airlock has slowed. What does that mean? Does this look normal / is my batch infected? Or if any of those answers don't help you please consider visiting the /r/Homebrewing Wiki for answers to a lot of your questions! Another option is searching the subreddit, someone may have asked the same question before! However no question is too "noob" for this thread. No picture is too ..read more

Question about yeast sediment in bottles

I'm just getting started with brewing beer using the Coopers DIY kit and my intention for my second batch is to put it into small bottles (330ml) so that I can drink straight from the bottle. However I notice a lot of advice suggesting that you need to pour the brew out into a glass and avoid drinking the yeast sediment in order for it to taste good. What's interesting though is that the Coopers commercial beer is bottle fermented and they encourage you to deliberately re-suspend the yeast prior to drinking - so, in their view, you're supposed to drink the yeast. But in homebrew circles it se ..read more

When to add gelatin

I ordered some gelatine fining. But am getting overwhelmed by information. And I've "analyzed til I'm paralysed" Finish pressure fermenting in korny, cold crash, add gelatin fining to secondary, then closed transfer to second korney. I prefer to use a traditional dip tube in the secondary and waste poor until clean beer. Carbing and drinking from secondary. Maybe a few bottles for friends. Not commercial. Works right? Right? OBK lawnmower ale spice up

Hi guys, Placed my first order for OBK lawn mower ale. I'm having a bit of buyers remorse. It's basically just 2 row (8 lbs and 1 oz of saaz at 60mins). Having a bit of buyers remorse not buying something a little hoppier...but wanted to brew a crowd pleasure. 7 I have an ounce of Simcoe. Dry hopping with Simcoe a week into ferment a good idea? Also have an oz of centennial a friend gave me. This is my second brew. Would appreciate any suggestions my brew brother and sisters. submitted by /u/Fbzt [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
