There were big smiles in the UAE-Emirates camp after Friday’s medium-length time trial at the Tour de Romandie, as Brandon McNulty claimed the stage, Felix Großschartner was third and Juan Ayuso, by coming fourth, snatched the golden leader’s jersey with two stages remaining. Some big news with a major update on recovering Remco Evenepoel in his bid to race the Tour de France. The current world TT champion seems to progressing nicely after his brutal crash at the Itzulia Basque Country. Three weeks after the accident, Remco Evenepoel logged his first ride on Strava on Thursday. He was riding outdoors in Lennik, Belgium. There’s a new event coming on the same weekend as the Heck and Hell of the North–it’s called the Hero of the North. On May 25, another edition of Heck goes down, with the next day seeing Hell. The spring Hell of the North road/gravel race, covers 90 km from Ballantrae, Ontario, through challenging dirt and off-road sections in the greater Toronto area. Getting good, regular sleep is important for training and performing your best for the day of your local group ride or race . But if you’re is it possible to “bank” sleep before the race to make up for lost zzzs? The answer is not as simple as yes or no.
