I received this informatin from Daniel Horowitz of MyHeritage today:
=====================================
I’m pleased to share that, in response to requests from the genealogy community, we’ve added the option to securely share DNA results with a collaborator on MyHeritage. MyHeritage users can now invite someone else, such as a DNA expert, to view their DNA results and become a member of the family site on MyHeritage, which also gives the collaborator access to the user’s family tree.
Following the introduction of mandatory Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for viewing DNA results on ..read more

I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite and most priceless family photographs:
This is a photograph of my paternal grandfather, Frederick Walton Seaver (1876-1942), sitting on the steps of his home, or his workshop, in the late 1930s or early 1940s. He is all dressed up for some occasion - perhaps for a wedding of his son Edward in 1940. He would be age 64 in 1940.
Even though I ran all of the MyHeritage photo tools on the black and white photograph, there is still a stain in the middle of the photograph.

I have found more of my memoirs that I wrote after some of our summer vacations, and many of them included genealogy highlights. So I'm going to share these memories in a series of posts. Maybe I'll even find some photos to illustrate the posts.
What We Did On Our 1994 Summer Vacation
Linda and I left San Diego on Thursday, July 7, 1994 and flew into Boston. We stayed one night at the Boston Park Plaza (which used to be the Statler-Hilton), which had a special $109 per night rate with free parking. On Friday, Randy went to the New England Historic Genealogical Societ ..read more

Scores of genealogy and family history bloggers write hundreds of posts every week about their research, their families, and their interests. I appreciate each one of them and their efforts.
My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for most daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.
Here are my picks for great reads from the genealo ..read more

“Was Your Ancestor Truly Gone or Just Hidden
Within the Records?"
by Pam Vestal
Why haven't you found your ancestors in the records? Documents are often hidden from view, with information that is present but concealed, stored in a place or a manner that is unexpected, misspelled, indexed incorrectly, or separated from the other similar records. We'll explore strategies for tracking down these elusive ancestors so that we don't miss a single detail.
