Spring has definitely sprung and as we start to think about packing away the hoods, taking off the boots and digging out the thinner suits we're excited to start seeing more people sharing the water. Winter has been non stop for us this year, a mix of planning, teaching, testing, updating and fixing was nestled between a solid run of storm sessions which kept us smiling. So as we look to the clocks changing and the temperatures rising, we're excited to liven things up for the 2024 summer season. Here's an update of what we've been up to and what's in the pipeline at Poseidon this year. &n ..read more

Growing the team for 2024
Poseidon Kite School Blog

We're looking to grow our school team and run an exciting 2024 together. Poole has a variety of waist deep lagoons and wave breaks which are ideal for learning, progressing and adventuring by both kite and wing. The beaches, town and night life is pretty good too. We're excited to fill our school diary next year with coaching, rental, sessions, events, BBQs and more. We're looking for like minded people who love to {or would love to} work within and embrace the watersports lifestyle with us.  We can't promise warm water and steady winds, but helping us grow and support a great kite and w ..read more

November Sessions
Poseidon Kite School Blog

It's this time of year, as the days get shorter, the temperatures drop and the wind gets better that we start to get a little more selective about our days on the water and run with a slightly smaller team. As always, when it's windy, we'll be teaching private sessions daily throughout the winter, but for November we'll be running to a slightly different timetable. We'll now be offering morning lessons from 10am and afternoon lessons from 2pm on a private basis, 121 or 221 coaching only. If you'd like to hire kit we'll need you to book in advance at least 24 hours before your session ..read more

October 21st was a day for the U.K. foiling history books when the Kernow Foil Classic, a Prone and Wing surf style competition went off at Daymer Bay, Cornwall. The vision was to run a legitimate foil competition with judges following criteria which favoured fast and aggressive top to bottom wave riding, with the best rider progressing through a heat ladder to a final in both disciplines, all at one location. And holy moly, the 21st October delivered an epic, eventful and unforgettable day for the foiling community. Firstly, thank you to everyone that cam along with so much positive ener ..read more

Kernow Foil Classic Update and Prizes

As we approach the first holding date of the Kernow Foil Classic our eyes are pinned on the forecast. Hoping for a clear picture of how the weekend will play out, sadly the weather has different ideas and with a series of high and low pressure systems bouncing off each other the predicted wind direction and strength keeps changing 180. We're ideally looking for wind above 15 knots from a W/NW/N direction, combined with a fair sized swell. So whilst it was looking good, the current indications are suggesting we'll be bouncing back to the 4th & 5th November, we'll put off a final decision un ..read more

Whilst others might have moaned about the rain, we definitely can't complain about a lack of wind this Summer. Fom our sites in Poole and Newquay our team and community have been buzzing, excited to see back to back wind and waves allowing us all to clock in session after session. We've been stoked to see the progression rocket. Whilst we paused a little to enjoy the late summer sunshine, we're now excited to see the first week of proper Autumn wind lining up, and even more buzzing that the best is yet to come. Autumn, or 'the windy season' as we like to call it, is that time of ..read more

We're excited for our 'Race Across The Pond' summer social this Sunday at the school in Poole Harbour.  The wind forecast keep teasing with uncertainty on whether we'll be racing on big kites, middle kites or powering on by paddle power. At the time of writing this it's looking positive conditions will be great for all levels to line and charge around the bay. Good news is there's one thing for sure - it's going to be a warm and sunny day, perfect to settle in at Poseidon for a day of kite chat, BBQ food, tunes, tech talks and hopefully - some healthy on water competition.
