MERCED, Calif. – Ethan Dotson added two more victories to his resume on night four of California IMCA Speedweek Monday evening at Merced Speedway. Dotson picked up right where he left off on Sunday at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, Calif., by once again winning the IMCA modified and Sunoco IMCA Stock Car features In the IMCA modified feature, Cody Laney took the initial lead at the start of the 25-lap main event. Raceway aboard the No. 45 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet. ROSSBURG, Ohio – Logan Seavey will compete for Baldwin/Fox/Curb-Agajanian when the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars head to Eldora Speedway for the #LetsRaceTwo event on May 7-8. The orange No. 5 has competed on the USAC trail this year with Dave Darland at the wheel, making four starts with the series between February and April. Darland is on the mend after suffering a stroke on April 23. Last weekend Jadon Rogers wheeled the car in local Indiana competition. KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series field will make its seventh and eighth appearances at Lakeside Speedway’s four-tenths-mile dirt oval during a doubleheader on May 21-22. An increased payout will be at the forefront both nights, with $6,000 to win and $600 to start in Friday’s feature. Saturday’s A-Main posts a $7,500 top prize and again offers $600 to start. Recently, we had the opportunity to catch up and I asked Matchett, who claimed two world championships while working with Michael Schumacher and the Benetton Formula One team, what separated Schumacher from other drivers.
