The Vancouver Canucks have hit the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs running. It’s still quite a jog from here on out, but they say the first kilometre is what sets the pace, and the Canucks are already sprinting.
There’s no one reason why. But one of the primary reasons why is the way in which they’ve structured their top-nine forward corps around what might just be the strongest 1-2-3 centre punch in the entire NHL.

On yesterday’s episode of Canucks Conversation, David Quadrelli and Harman Dayal welcomed NHL insider Frank Seravalli to discuss the Canucks’ Game 1 performance against the Nashville Predators. The Canucks came back from a 2-1 deficit in the 3rd to win the crucial game 1 at home.
Frank shared his perspective on the series outlook: “There’s probably going to be a hiccup here or there for the Canucks; it’s pretty standard. Not everything goes swimmingly, and there’s another team involved that obviously has a big say in what happens. I feel pretty good about six [games to win the series ..read more

It was an atmosphere nine long years in the making. And the Vancouver Canucks felt every last bit of it.
Right as the Canucks stepped on the ice at Rogers Arena for their first home playoff game since 2015, the fan’s energy was immediately palpable. And that energy spurred them to a come-from-behind 4-2 victory over the Nashville Predators, drawing first blood in this best-of-seven opening series.
The sellout crowd, with Vancouver’s signature white playoff towels in hand, made their presence known with a “Go Canucks Go” chant in the warmups, the singing of ‘Oh Canada’ before the puck dropped ..read more

Rick Tocchet wanted his Vancouver Canucks to practice on Monday. The head coach was pleased with the club’s 4-2 win in its playoff opener against Nashville on Sunday night but still felt there were a number of areas he wanted to address. But in the moments after the emotional victory to kick off the team’s post-season, Tocchet recognized that practice wasn’t what the players needed.

The Vancouver Canucks came back in dramatic fashion, scoring two quick goals in the third en route to a 4-2 victory in Game 1 against the Nashville Predators.
