Image courtesy of Oklahoma City Museum of Art Let’s talk about this pandemic.  We can’t do so many things right now: have porch beers with our friends during this fleeting near-perfect Oklahoma weather, or celebrate our birthdays and anniversaries surrounded by all our pals on the kitschy artificial grass of R&J Supper Club, or meander through cultural hot spots while we pretend to understand the artwork. For starters, we celebrated five years under the BigWing name and found ourselves under new ownership as our parent company, GateHouse Media, merged with Gannett, combining the No. 1 and No. 2 newspaper companies in the U.S. We were a pretty resourceful bunch before, but the merger increased our connections by, like, 89 bajillion percent. Of equal importance, 2019 taught me (BigWing’s inbound marketing team manager) what a Salt Bae is, and what it means when my 20-something-year-old team members are “vibing,” when their food is “smacking,” a ..read more
