Hello everyone and Happy Friday! Joy beat me to it, but yes, Sissy is having a horrible time being able to comment on the blog and she is just heartbroken! She feels like she is missing out on everything and misses you all! Hi everyone, My day was busy helping my hubby with some things, and trying to figure out printer issues again. My FAVORITE news of the day: I also got “permission” from Miroslava (aka My Meadow) to post the pictures of my Tinker Bell doll in her new dress set ON the Doll Forum that she has. Well, my big chance to see what happens is happening now! I just listed the doll dress I have been showing on my blog all last week, the aqua print dress for the Disney Animators doll, Tinker Bell. I mentioned in my listing that I’m hoping it will be received by both doll lovers… the people who love the Disney Animators dolls and the ones who have the My Meadows 15″ Moppets. Wasn’t it fun to see Susette’s pictures of Rosalyn? I REALLY enjoyed seeing them…probably because I REALLY enjoyed making the dress set! I truly did! It was a bit sketchy in the beginning, not going “exactly” the way I had hoped, but my Trusty Sofa Sisters got me back on track and it turned out to be a true winner! First of all, I did get a hat made for Tinker Bell/Mae, but the post today is ALL ABOUT ROSALYN! I’m letting her have the whole post to herself! She is adorable… just wait and see! The narration was written by the winner… :o) The young lady in the new Jeanne Marie creation has a new dress and a new name, Rosalyn. Can you guess who she was in a previous life? Hi everyone, Well, I liked Linda’s idea of Tinker Bell going barefoot with her new sun dress on, but I figured I should at least “try” to make her a pair of sandals, so I did! I was trying to make them to fit the Disney Animator dolls feet, AS WELL AS the feet on the My Meadows Moppets dolls like Mae… The Disney Animator doll feet are 2 1/8″ long and 1″ wide. The Moppets feet, like Mae, are 2″ long and 1.3″ wide. I tried to make something that would fit both dolls and hopefully these will. Thanks everyone for your kind responses with my new Disney Animator doll, Tinker Bell. She’s flattered at all your sweet comments… from her hair being styled in braids, to her getting offers to model this set, to saying the dress was so cute it made her eyes less bold looking! I appreciate all the feedback and just kept working today. Well, don’t get your hopes up…it’s still the same doll, with the same BIG EYES, just with a little help in the hair department. I decided to take her hair down from that high pony tail to see if it was even possible to get some curls happening! I shampooed it and combed it out and then sort of scrunched it to see if it in fact had any curl to it. It DID… pretty nice curls too. I know it’s a bit BIG looking right now, but it’s still a bit damp… and I’ve even felt a few hard spots in it, so I might end up washing it again.
