2024 has seen some great success and progress for juniors in Ireland with various international tournaments being hosted since January in clubs and the National Tennis Centre. Ireland is hosting 12 international tournaments in 2024, with more to be confirmed. These tournaments are providing ample opportunities for young players in Ireland to compete on the Tennis Europe and ITF calendars, gaining international ranking points on home soil. After a hugely memorable weekend for Irish tennis where Ireland faced Austria in the World Group I playoffs in front of a sold out crowd in Limerick, the draw was made in London recently for Davis Cup World Group II where Ireland have drawn Tunisia, away, in September.   Historic day as Celine Simunyu is set to become the first Irish female player to be awarded a wildcard at a WTA event.
