How comfortable are you with who you are – as a person, with your body, with your place in the world? At 66 I feel pretty good about myself but it wasn’t always this way. Part of Being an Active Participant in Life is to be comfortable with who you are and live an authentic life. If you aren’t comfortable you won’t enjoy life. Being comfortable with yourself allows you the freedom to live life your way without holding yourself back. Accepting all that you are will lead you to live your best life and will allow you to be free and your true authentic self. – Camille Kostek Oh this is one that I ..read more

This is the first time I’ve participated in 10 on the 10th a monthly link up hosted by Marsha from Marsha in the Middle. I’m actually not big on the Q&A type posts but as history is being made with the full solar eclipse, as the questions intrigued me and as it is Wednesday I thought it would be perfect for the Wednesday Words and Whimsy link up as well. #WWWhimsy is hosted by Min from Write of the Middle. Answering the questions also reminded me of my Being an Active Participant in Life challenge. I was putting into practice some of the ideas I had written about in previous posts. This p ..read more

The first week of the ‘Being an Active Participant in Life Challenge’ is completed. During the week I shared prompts to encourage an active lifestyle in mind, body and spirit on my Instagram and in the Women Living Well After 50 Facebook Group. During this first week I also wanted to make the point that to participate fully in life you need a good foundation to work from. That means that you need a good health and wellness base. If you aren’t feeling healthy on the inside and have a body that will support your activity then that affects how you enjoy life. In this post, I’m sharing the 3 Esse ..read more

Over the Easter break, I had a surplus of Zucchini. This vegetable is so versatile and for this month’s What’s On Your Plate Blog Challenge? (hosted by Donna from Retirement Reflections and Deb, The Widow Badass) I’m sharing some recipes for this versatile vegetable. We have been trying to eat more plant-based meals and the versatile Zucchini is always on our shopping list. It is also a coincidence that Donna has written about Meatless March recipes for her WOYP? contribution this month. I wonder if she included Zucchini??? Pop over to her post and find out What’s On Your Plate? Meatless Marc ..read more

Are you an Active Participant in Life? Are you Living Well and Enjoying Life? Welcome to Active April 2024 – Be An Active Participant in Life When I first saw that the Action for Happiness Theme Calendar was ‘Active April’ I thought about the physical aspect of challenging myself to exercise every day for 30 days.
