Did the Serie A go under the radar this year?

Inter won their 20th title this season by beating their city rivals and winning it comfortably but their achievements have gone unnoticed. Losing only 1 game this season, why did they not get the attention all season? Did teams like Juventus, Napoli, Milan not challenge for the title? Obviously leagues like the bundesliga with Leverkusen was something truly special and the premier league was a 3 horse race till the end for the first time in a long time. submitted by /u/mali219015 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Vini deserves Ballon d'Or before Bellingham

Vini scored the same amount of goals as Bellingham two years ago. I don't understand how one decent season has earned Bellingham so much support. Vini and Rodrygo terrorized Manchester City in the first leg when Bellingham was a no show in the biggest game of the year submitted by /u/EdsonArantes10 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Has the term “glory hunter” reduced in popularity?

I first started watching football during the 2006 World Cup and used to primarily discuss football on Facebook fan pages and groups and remember the word was thrown out a lot by everyone during 2006-2010 (I was only around 10-14 years old at this time, and most people I interacted with were around 8 -25 years old on Facebook at that time). Loads of discussions would just be taking the piss and riling up the other person. Since Facebook died significantly after that period, I moved to reddit and didn’t really think of it much. But it just occurred to me that people don’t really call each other ..read more

I seriously think the defending sides are very harshly dealt with in case of penalties

I do know that it is important to make sure the defenders don't throw their bodies on attackers when they are not left with any other options. However, I do think that penalties are given on too soft touches or when the defenders are just doing what they should. I know that the defender has to go for the ball and not the foot, but a lot of times now, the attackers are not even looking to go for the goal, instead, they are looking for chances to throw their bodies on defenders. I will give some examples where I felt it was the case: Real Madrid vs City, UCL 2nd leg (2021-22): The third goal f ..read more

Football games and their high prices

As everybody knows, watching football is not for the middle/working class in terms of watching it live.Only god knows why the prices are so high when there are many people who would love to watch a game yet they don’t get a chance due to the absurd prices. For reference I’m talking about big events that are in the 500s and 600s which are clearly unaffordable especially when it’s only 90 mins.So my question is,anyone know any illegal ways one could sneak in to a game? submitted by /u/Ok_Result_1529 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

What are your thoughts on the “New wingers”

“New wingers” such as grealish are wingers that don’t take on their man and focus on retaining posession. When looking back at wingers such as neymar and Hazard it hurts to see managers like Pep turn wingers into robots. submitted by /u/Chelseaforever123 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Team support dynamics for FA Cup final, and the Premier League in general!

Based on what I have been able to glean from fan attitudes as a new viewer of the Premier League (I mostly watch the Bundesliga and La Liga), I suppose it’s clear that most Premier League fans want to see Manchester City finally lose the Premier League title after a continuous 4-year run at the top, owing to fear of the league coming across as less competitive and interesting (which may or may not be the case in reality). Additionally, many have turned against City for their FFP violations going unpunished (for good measure), even as Everton and Nottingham Forest bear the brunt of the same. A ..read more
