Does anyone know if plan D is still manufacturing fly boxes? It seems to be out of stock on every website. Any recommendations for a double sided articulated fly box would be appreciated.

My friend and I, relative novices, are looking for a 4-5 day fly fishing trip, where we don’t have to worry about much but also don’t need luxury accommodations or anything. Maybe target trout or salmon. We want to catch fish! Suggestions?

2 kids under 3. Another due in may. First day out in a long time! An awesome creek in SNP really scratched an itch for me. About 3 hours of uninterrupted time alone on a creek. Nobody else fishing. By the end there were a few mayflies hatching, BWO and blue quills I think. A few fish were rising. I caught all of mine (6 I think) on a dropper nymph, but I spent the last 30 min or so casting only a dry to a few risers. Got refused/ missed them probably 5 times over that 30 min. No hook ups, still awesome! Get out and fish for me if you can! Tight lines..

Hi y’all, first spring in Colorado. Not asking for anybody’s honey holes but looking for places to fish. I spent last summer fishing mostly alpine lakes over 10k. Those aren’t assessable right now due to snow unfortunately. I fished in Georgetown last summer and did well but that’s a 3 hour drive for me and don’t want to take the drive just to find the fish haven’t left the reservoir yet. I’ll take any kind of advice. Thank ya!

How could I go about changing the reel seat on an old rod?
I have a lovely 9' 4-5 weight rod built for me thirty years ago on, I think, a Winston blank by a really nice guy in Montana. It has only two flaws: it's in two pieces, which every 9' rod was back then; and it's got a downlocking reel seat, owing to a miscommunication with the builder. I would like it to be uplocking, like all my other rods. I know how to glue a new reel seat in place, but is there any way to remove the old one safely?
