Beginning in 2023 the AIA began an exploration into adding students, and others, into their purview as a membership organization. Since being approved by the AIA Board of Directors in early 2024 the next step is for it to be approved at the AIA Annual Business Meeting on June 5th, 2024. Mason is a second-year student in Architectural Technology at Spokane Community College. He does a great job of chairing our weekly meetings, eliciting excitement about the AIAS and keeping the chapter moving forward with initiatives. He has helped with fundraising by helping to design and draft homes for people willing to donate to the chapter. Most recently he worked to raise money for the West Quad trip even though he is not able to attend.
