Philips oneblade 360 - and why I hate it

I bought one of these one blade 360 5 in 1 body and face trimmers. And here's my review. I have never, and I mean never, been cut so much by a razor that gives such a shitty shave in return. And I've shaved with everything from a straight razor to a Gillette Mach 3, through a Wilkinson sword fancy multi blade thing, aldi brand 5 blade razors, electric razors both foil and rotary, to bic disposables. It cuts my balls, it cuts my underarms it cuts my damn neck! And in return you get a shitty shave that is worse than your £1 single blade disposable razor or electric trimmer. If you use it dry it ..read more

So, I've been battling keratosis pilaris (KP) and ingrown hairs for as long as I can remember. I've tried every scrub, cream, and DIY hack under the sun, but nothing seemed to make a lasting difference. I was starting to lose hope until I stumbled upon IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal. I did some research and decided to try the Ulike Air 10 IPL device. It's been about a month, and I'm genuinely amazed by the results! My KP bumps are significantly smoother, and the ingrowns have practically vanished. I was hesitant at first because I have sensitive skin, but the cooling feature on the U ..read more

Proraso lather problems

I've tried using this proraso green twice now and haven't had a good experience either time. I've seen several videoes on YouTube of people getting this great lather from it, but I haven't. Is it an issue that I'm taking a chunk out and putting it in my bowl? It seems everyone always puts water right in the proraso soap container. The first time I didn't notice until I was actually shaving, but I had chunks still in it and one on my face where it didn't break down. Tonight I soaked the brush longer, got the water hotter, and mixed more water in the bowl with the soap. I really worked it wit ..read more

He’s small for his age, and totally looks like a little boy… but I’ve noticed his peach fuzz moustache getting more noticeable this past year, and he’s started talking about how other kids have started teasing him about it. I don’t have long, I think. Problem is, he’s all over the damned place. Mad scientist type, he walks into things when he’s not paying attention, is constantly injuring himself in various clumsy ways, even though he has the fine motor skills for various musical instruments. He’s very bright, and pretty typical developmentally aside from the adhd. My late father had a very t ..read more

Single blade versus multi blade razors

(If this is too long, I’ve summarized my questions at the end) So I’ve been contemplating getting a single-blade razor recently I just have a few questions that maybe someone can answer for me before I go for it. I’ve been reading up on them and people have said that it’s the closest and smoothest shave, but it’s really time intensive to learn. One of my biggest concerns is that people say that it needs to be held at a specific angle, or they say things like use shave oil instead of a cream so you can see what you’re doing, is this true/necessary? Is the key to a smoother shave really the sin ..read more
