The Galactic Starcruiser, although closed, is still making money for The Walt Disney Company. The recently renamed DisneyStore.com has done a little additional rebranding, taking old garments previously exclusive to guests of the Galactic Starcruiser experience and offering them as regular Star Wars garb while calling them “New”. DisneyStore now referrs to the collection as the “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge roleplay collection” on its website. Cheer Event Taking Place at Animal Kingdom After Park Close on April 29th

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closing at 6pm on April 29th to accommodate an after-hours event held for The Cheerleading Worlds. The after-hours celebration event will take place from 8pm to midnight, exclusively for guests who have purchased wristbands for the event. According to the event organizers, attendees will be able to enjoy select rides, select food, and a DJ dance party as part of the end-of-event celebration on April 29th. In what appears to be a rare reversal, Disney World has opted to make a portion of a dark ride easier to see. Attractions like the soon-to-be-extinct DINOSAUR dark ride have been getting darker over the years, making it difficult to see and photograph many scenes within the ride. Another example used to be the rainforest scene in the Living with the Land attraction. The Savi’s Workshop Handbuilt Custom Lightsabers experience and the Droid Depot Build-a-Droid experience have changed booking policies at the Walt Disney World Resort. Both Star Wars Land upcharge experiences moved from a credit card guarantee to pre-paid experiences recently. Previously, both experiences required a credit card guarantee when booking, and then full payment was required at the location before you began the experience. With the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival set to end in just over a month, Disney World has announced the dates for the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. According to Disney World, the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival will run from August 29 to November 23, 2024. That puts the event at roughly one month shorter than in 2023.
