Change a Pet's Life Day is January 24th, 2019. You can change a pet's life simply by adopting. We recommend contacting any of the wonderful local shelters and rescues to add a lovable fur-kid to your family! There are plenty of shelters to check out, including the Animal Rescue League, Brandywine Valley SPCA, Humane Pennsylvania, and Pennsylvania SPCA.

It should come as no surprise that I, as an animal lover, often surround myself with other animal lovers for friends. My good friend, Laurie, recently fostered a mama cat and her litter of six kittens. Caring for young kittens is nothing less than a herculean task. Young kittens make a colossal mess while learning how to eat, play, and use the litter pan. Things are slightly easier with a mama cat around, but trust me when I say that Laurie has had her work cut out for her! Hey, fellow pet-lovers! Guess what’s coming up in just a few short days? The American Cancer Society’s Bark for Life! It’s this Saturday, April 22nd, at 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Memorial Park in Pottstown. The American Cancer Society Bark for Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
