IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTT’SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you fine folks know what that means. It’s time to hop into the cockpit, strap in, start the countdown, and blast off into the stratosphere of Miami Hurricanes-related thoughts sifting around inside my brain.
1) It’s NFL Draft week. And yes, at least two Miami Hurricanes - and hopefully more - will hear their name called this weekend in Detroit. Those two are Kamren Kinchens and Leonard Taylor III. Kinchens was electric two years ago. Not quite as much last year. He also didn’t do much to help ..read more

The Miami Hurricanes are in desperate need of a top flight running back and could use help in other areas as well.
The Miami Hurricanes have concluded the 2024 spring football ‘season’ and are heading into the summer with a bright outlook for the fall. Miami has a top-10 roster in Blue Chip Ratio, the top-three coaches on staff returning, and an elite transfer QB behind center.
But, there’s always the desire for more! And Miami certainly has a few holes to fill via injuries and the transfer portal flowing out instead of in. The Hurricanes are currently fair ..read more

The spring season for Miami has come to a close and the Hurricanes came out of the spring game healthy and with plenty of hype surrounding new QB Cam Ward.
The Miami Hurricanes 2024 spring season came to a close on Saturday, April 13th at Cobb Stadium in Coral Gables. There has been an appropriate amount of hype surrounding transfer quarterback Cam Ward and he didn’t disappoint.
Ward finished the first half, the contact period, 17 of 23 passing for 260 yards and two touchdowns. Much like former QB Tyler Van Dyke, Ward looked to wide receiv ..read more

The Miami Hurricanes’ spring game was held on Saturday at Cobb Stadium. As I will be away from my computer on Monday, I’m going to go ahead and offer up my thoughts and observations on it now. Consider these my ahead-of-Monday Musings, y’all.
Let’s get to it.
First Half
Cam Ward’s first pass was a completion to Xavier Restrepo on a comeback route. Do with that information what you will. It was a well thrown ball with zip and anticipation. Love to see that.
A few plays later, he found X again, and 7 broke free from Jadais Richards’ attempt ..read more

The Miami Hurricanes are hosting their spring football game on campus, on Saturday, April 13th at 4pm.
The Miami Hurricanes hold their spring game on campus in Coral Gables, FL on Saturday, April 13th at 4:00pm on ACCNX/ESPN+. The Hurricanes are looking for a “we back” season after limping to a 12-13 start to the Mario Cristobal Era.
Cristobal, OC Shannon Dawson and DC Lance Guidry all return for a second season together, Cristobal’s third as the head coach at Miami. Not a lot about the format of the spring game has been released yet, ie.: the scoring (O vs ..read more

Coach L and his staff are having a good start to the offseason.
The Miami Hurricanes Men’s basketball program has been busy during March Madness. Four guys left the program in mid-March: AJ Casey, Christian Watson, Michael Nwoko, and Bensley Joseph. The loss of Joseph bums me out. He had his struggles this season, mostly committing way too many turnovers. That said, I truly believe his issues stemmed from being asked to carry far more of a load offensively than he was used to because of Nijel Pack’s seven-game absence due to injury. I’m going to miss Bensley Jo ..read more

And you fine, wonderful Miami Hurricanes fans know what that means. It’s time to grab our orange pickaxes, don the green hardhats, and go searching for Miami Hurricanes-related thought nuggets planted throughout my mind.
1) Mario Cristobal had a very interesting comment on Jacolby George on Thursday. Asked after practice if considered dismissing George after his behavior to end the season, he actual said that he considered it.
“Initially, yeah, that comes to mind right away because it’s not part of the D ..read more
