Do they just go away? Mind you, it's over a car accident I was at fault for but I wasn't drunk nor did a receive a ticket, it was a 100% genuine accident.
I did my 341 about a week ago and now I'm just in the cone of silence for like 60-90 days and my anxiety is going crazy over it.
I just need to hear something from someone who's been through this.. thanks.

State max is 20%. That amount would be way easy to live off. I assume Chpt 13 would be more money and more invasive.. At this time. Wrong? House is paid for full. Benefits missing?

I went through my 341 and am now waiting on my decision but realized I had not submitted one credit card to my lawyer for discharge. (max credit limit $200 and balance is still owed).
Should i pay this off? The credit card is still active. Im curious if this will affect my credit score post filing.
Thanks for any and all assistance.

Have been reading a bit about Upsolve. I have about $28,000 in consumer debt that I plan to file on, and my case would be relatively simple and I don't doubt that I could do it myself through Upsolve.
But, I also have $50,000 in private student debt and around $50,000 in federal student loan debt that I would at least like to inquire about potentially going through the process to file for that as well.
So, at that point, is it worth it to even use Upsolve at all? Could I use Upsolve just for the simple consumer debt part and then use a local attorney for the student debt part, or would I need ..read more

If your case is voluntarily dismissed, do they refund the trustee payments back to the date your filed for dismissal? Or only ones after your case is actually dismissed?
Our attorney mentioned that there was a note that the trustee was issuing a refund but didn’t say the amount.

Looking into filing for chapter 7. I’m about 60k into unsecured debt, 15k car loan and 36k travel trailer. I’m upside down in equity on both the car and trailer. Payments are current but had a few lates. Has anyone had a similar situation?

Hello, I'm currently in Chapter 13 bankruptcy right now, and I've had a meeting of the creditors which no creditors were present at. I've constantly checked my docket sheet and no creditors have ever filed a proof of claim. I got an email today from one of the attorneys that stated: "As a point of clarification, creditor claims are filed on the claims register, not the docket and as of this email, seven (7) claims have been filed in your case.". So my question is, are these valid proof of claims if none of the creditors, 1 - Attended the meeting of the creditors, 2 - Filed the proof of claims ..read more
