What websites provide accurate starting points and essential knowledge/texts for someone with introductory level knowledge?
Creating a notebook for the start of my journey into the subject.
How would you break up a reference notebook for alchemy, if you were making your own?

I've been looking around different sources and they all show different symbols, I would just use any of them but since some of these overlap, I'm not sure which ones are correct. Wikipedia says that the symbols correspond to some of the zodiac signs symbols, but at the same time, there are 5 more stages than usual, also using a different naming conventions, or straight up different terms if I'm not mistaken. For example, Coagulation doesn't show up in the list of alchemical processes, unless "Coagulation" also means "Congelation"

Having traversed much of the cave, the Traveler noticed the path was inclining. The torches, which hung periodically on the cave walls, created light and dark areas. Light, dark, light, dark... He found himself running leisurely, the illuminating transition creating a strobe effect that caused the Travelers’ mind to turn back to his experiences in the Centaur's cave. His time there had seemed like an eternity. Each day, the Centaur drew him deeper into the cave, towards its ..read more

I'm new to responding alchemy and I'm going from a more physical practice standpoint. As the last step in making most elixirs the salt from the Calcification is added to the elixir. Did this actually serve a purpose or was it only for spiritual reasons. It done some research and it may effect the acidity depending on how much of the "salt" is potassium hydroxide. I have a slight theory that it could be for increased preservation. But I'm looking for any info you think might help.

Hey yall! My old account was busted for years, but this question made me go ahead and make a new one! It just feels I should've found an answer in three Google clicks, which makes it so much worse
I've been spending the past two hours trying to find a source that explicitly divides the steps of a 12+ Opus model into four distinct groups. For example: Ripley's Twelve Gates 1. Calcination 2. Solution (or Dissolution)
3. Separation
4. Conjunction 5. Putrefaction 6. Congelation
7. Cibation 8. Sublimation 9. Fermentation 10. Exaltation 11. Multiplication 12. Projection
